Election Info:
A law passed in 2014 by the KS Legislature prohibits party members from switching parties during a period "beginning on the candidate filing deadline of Noon on June 1st through the date when the results of the August primary are certified."
A registered voter who is "unaffiliated' may affiliate during this period, or also when requesting an advance ballot through our office or when voting at their polling site during the primary election.
This change for the unaffiliated voter will remain as such (to Democrat or Republican) until it is changed in writing through our office.
